Hello and welcome to the CanineConcepts web site.

I graduated in Zoology and I am a full-time dog behaviourist and trainer. I am very fortunate to be able to spend all my days around these beautiful creatures that give us such joy, entertainment and companionship.

Dogs constantly fascinate me with their individuality and ability to surprise. I am also very aware of the challenges and sometimes frustrations of integrating a new dog or puppy into the family.

When it comes to raising a well-balanced dog, my advice is always quite simple; start as early as you can and it's never too late to start. I am an absolute believer that understanding dog instinct and behaviour is key to developing the essential rapport that is needed to ensure training is a positive and pleasurable experience for you and your dog.

That brings me to this website. The advice included in here is intended to grab your interest and hopefully help you on your way to gathering more knowledge. All of the techniques I outline are well-proven and most importantly, they are reward-based and will ensure positive experiences for your dog. Our understanding of our dear friends is constantly evolving and we have to remain open-minded to new ideas. For this reason I like to encourage feedback, so please let me know if you find the advice useful or otherwise.

There will always be times when integrating your dog or puppy becomes too much of a handful. First of all, do not despair as you are not alone, many dog owners have these experiences and the vast majority can be overcome with patience and care. Help and advice can speed up this process and ease the pain. If you live near us (North Oxfordshire), please talk to me about our behavioural consultations. Alternatively, I can point you in the direction of a someone who can help in your area.

I would like to mention the CanineConcepts SHOP. We offer a wide range of discounted dog products. I like to think our range is very imaginative and unique. Whilst focusing mainly on training and stimulation products, I do cater for those (like myself) who also want to indulge their pets. What I can say about all of our products is that I spend considerable time seeking out products that are proven, dog-friendly and of high quality. Many of these are sourced from overseas and are unique to our shop.

Finally, I would like to thank you for visiting this site and taking the time to read this.

    Many Thanks

    Patricia
